Exploring Neuroplasticity Techniques in OT

I’ve recently started experimenting with neuroplasticity-focused interventions in my practice, and I’ve seen some promising results with clients struggling with motor recovery. I’m curious if anyone has specific approaches or resources they’ve found effective in harnessing neuroplasticity for occupational therapy. Sharing your experiences would be incredibly valuable.

I’ve also had success using constraint-induced movement therapy, which really seems to push the neuroplasticity envelope for my clients… It’s like giving their brains a workout, and they don’t even need a gym membership! @neuroOT has some great insights on this, too — might be worth checking out.

It’s awesome to see more OTs diving into neuroplasticity! I recently tried mirror therapy with a couple of clients, and it opened up new pathways in some really surprising ways. The brain’s a bit like a GPS; sometimes it needs a detour to find a new route.
