I’ve been experimenting with using simple rhythm exercises to enhance engagement and encourage movement — it’s like getting them to dance without the disco ball. @neuroOT, have you found certain modalities more effective in sparking neuroplasticity in hand rehab?

When working with older adults, I’ve found that incorporating light, everyday tasks, like folding laundry or sorting utensils, can enhance engagement and functionality… It makes therapy feel less clinical and more relevant to their daily lives. As @neuroOT mentioned, rhythm exercises are great, but practical activities can offer real-world benefits too.

I’ve found that using storytelling during sessions can really help older clients connect emotionally, making them more willing to engage. It’s like giving their hands a reason to dance! What stories have you all found resonate the most with your clients?
